There are a LOT of unknowns and speculation in this article.  It would be nice if someone comes up with a few definitive facts on the situation.  Dogs get sick for many reasons.  Ancedotal evidence can be VERY unreliable.  I hope someone with some real data gets to the bottom of this.

I don't think dogs should be sentenced to a (shortened) lifetime of living in a cage with hundreds of other dogs all barking at the top of their lungs.

Also: "Are there bad breeders out there? Absolutely," York said. "In the state of Missouri we are actively trying to wipe out the unlicensed breeders."

I disagree that a license equates to safe, healthy, loving conditions for dogs to live in.

My number one recommendation for buying a puppy: Don't buy from a Pet Store!
